Engineers are available in the Maker Space to help caregivers with a wide range of services including electrical, mechanical, and industrial engineering.

Dedicated Designers and Developers work with caregivers on both the front-end and back-end phases of product design and development.

Strategy Design Workshops
Skilled facilitators lead groups through a series of structured activities designed to stimulate creativity and generate new ideas, to inform a plan that is realistic and achievable while still being aspirational.

Design Sprint Training & Facilitation
Using a proven five-day process for solving problems and creating solutions, this three-day training program is designed to empower design thinkers across the system to facilitate sessions within their business areas. Alternatively, our facilitators are available to assist teams who are working to build effective solutions using an agile, iterative approach.

Usability Training & Consulting
Usability training is the process of teaching people how to design, develop, and evaluate user interfaces and experiences that are easy to use and understand. Usability Analysts certified through this program are available to consult on new initiatives and can help to provide insight into opportunities to make everyday things more pleasurable to use.

Eye Tracking Technology & Consulting
Eye tracking testing offers a valuable perspective when building and launching new products or services. Our eye tracking experts can assist with using the technology to understand where the user is looking and what catches their attention.

Research & Development (R&D)
Technologists dedicated to advancing healthcare through rigorous investigation focused on emerging technology conduct ongoing research, seeking to understand how new technologies can enhance patient care, streamline healthcare processes, and improve overall health outcomes.

3D Printing Services
3D printing is a process of creating three-dimensional objects from a digital file. With the support of Engineers in the Maker Space, these printers can be used to create a wide variety of objects, including prototypes, models, and end-use parts.

Speaker Series
Experts are available to speak to your teams to provide insight and inspiration on healthcare innovation. Using case studies and real-world examples, these engaging talks are designed to explore how innovation is revolutionizing patient care, healthcare systems, and the industry as a whole.

Physician in Residence
The Health & Technology Innovation Center’s Innovation elective introduces residents and fellows to innovation and entrepreneurship while getting hands-on experience with emerging technology and the startup ecosystem. The Physician in Residence works side-by-side with an interdisciplinary team, gaining exposure to agile product development, market assessments and commercialization activities, emerging tech research, and intellectual property/technology transfer. UX Health Design Internship
This UX Health Design Internship program is designed for University of Delaware undergraduate students that are members of the Innovation Health & Design Lab. This program focuses to increase their understanding of the health tech startup ecosystem relative to disruption in the health care industry by assisting in the development and implementations of Health & Technology Innovation Center projects.

HealthTech Startup Internship
The HealthTech Startup Internship program is designed for students entering their junior or senior year and are active in the Horn Entrepreneurship community. This program exposes interns to the health tech startup ecosystem relative to the disruption in the health care industry by assisting in development and implementation of current Health & Technology Innovation Center projects, as well as honing their entrepreneurial skills through the process of vetting portfolio applications through market assessments, customer delivery, and opportunity identification.
